Celebrating 85+ years of student journalism

After a two year absence, I am making my return on the National Association of Black Journalist’s annual convention. This year’s event is a chance for me to return to my home state and support my school.

The Department of Mass Communications at Southern University is hosting a reunion/reception for graduates and alumni of The Southern Digest. Current students can meet alumni and discuss possible mentoring and career opportunities. Alumni can find out how to support their department. And the department can showcase itself to a large crowd of professionals.

I’m looking forward to catching up with old friends and meeting the next generation of Jaguars.
